The holiday season is a time of joy, connection, and cherished memories. At Luxe Global Group, we hold our traditions close to our hearts, and we wanted to share some of our favorite ways we celebrate the season. From family gatherings to creative holiday activities, each of us has traditions that make this time of year extra special.
Hannah
Christmas Eve is a big event for Hannah’s family, even now that her children are adults. After attending the Christmas Eve service, her family gathers in their festive pajamas with hot cocoa and marshmallows to watch The Polar Express. Before bed, they always read The Night Before Christmas—and now the story is shared with the family’s newest addition, a grandpuppy! Another cherished tradition is dining as a family at Maggiano’s and then taking a carriage ride through Highland Park to enjoy the holiday lights. She also has fond memories of hosting gingerbread house parties for her kids and their friends, a tradition that continues today with her daughter Alaina hosting.
Nannette
For Nannette, decorating the family Christmas tree is one of the highlights of the season. Each ornament on the tree holds a special meaning, representing milestones in her children’s lives or souvenirs from family vacations. Every year, the tree becomes a beautiful walk down memory lane that her entire family treasures. She also loves Christmas Eve candlelight services and admiring the dazzling Christmas lights in Deerfield.
Kati
Kati and her family add a bit of creativity to their holiday season by building a new Christmas Lego set each year for their growing Lego Christmas village. Some of the sets date back to the 1990s, and the display is complete with lights, fake snow, and plenty of festive flair.
Liz
Liz’s family kicks off their celebration with a Christmas Eve service at church, honoring the true meaning of the holiday. On Christmas morning, Santa leaves powdered donuts in the stockings, which makes for a quick breakfast before the cooking and baking begins. During the holiday season, her family loves visiting Holiday in the Park at Six Flags to soak in the festive atmosphere.
Jen
Jen’s family has fun each year with a blind taste test of different eggnog brands, and HEB’s eggnog always comes out on top. They also bake exotic Christmas cookies together, exploring unique recipes that bring the family together. Her favorite holiday tune is Robert Earl Keene’s Merry Christmas from the Family.
Amber
Amber’s Christmas tradition is one she started with her grandmother as a child: setting up a large Christmas village. Each year, she adds a new piece—or a few—to the growing display, creating memories with her own kids. On Christmas morning, her family enjoys a breakfast of tamales and eggs, a tradition that adds a flavorful twist to their holiday.
