Forbes magazine is predicting that we will see values in Texas going up by 31% by 2020. The Feds are also raising interest rates and we expect them to go up into the mid-5s to low 6s before it’s said and done! What does that mean for selling your home and/or buying? This year and next is a great time to sell and purchase. As we are not at the top of the interest rates for purchasing, we are still up dramatically in pricing from 2008/2009, so getting your equity out now is not a bad idea to take advantage of those lower interest rates. Even though pricing may go up a bit, you have to consider how interest rates will affect what you can afford in a few years! If you aren’t purchasing another home, you may want to hold off a while to sell to take advantage of that increase that Forbes Magazine is predicting!
