Every December, families across the country come together for a tradition that is both solemn and deeply beautiful: Wreaths Across America. This nationwide event brings volunteers, veterans, families, and communities together to lay wreaths on the graves of fallen heroes — ensuring that each name is spoken, remembered, and honored.
This year, the tradition holds special meaning for one of our own, Nannette, whose father, a veteran of the United States Air Force, is laid to rest at the Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery. Her family will be participating again this year, and her message inspired us to share this opportunity with our community.
⭐ Family Day – December 12th, 2025 | 2–5 PM
This year, Wreaths Across America added something new: Family Day, a quiet, intimate time for families to visit the cemetery and lay their wreaths ahead of the main ceremony.
There’s no formal program — just space to reflect, remember, and spend time with loved ones. Visitors will be guided through the main entrance to pick up their wreath before heading to their family member’s section.
This day is reserved exclusively for family, allowing for a personal and peaceful moment of remembrance.
⭐ Wreath-Laying Ceremony – December 13th, 2025
On Saturday, volunteers from across North Texas will gather for the official ceremony at DFW National Cemetery. Every wreath laid is placed with care, gratitude, and a spoken name — a simple act that ensures each hero is remembered.
Schedule for the day:
-
8:00 AM – Parking opens
-
11:00 AM – Ceremony begins
-
12:00 PM – Wreath-laying across the cemetery
This year’s goal is to lay 59,000 wreaths, one for every veteran resting at the cemetery.
⭐ How You Can Participate
There are two meaningful ways to join this event:
❤️ Sponsor a Wreath
A sponsorship ensures a wreath is placed on a hero’s grave. Each wreath represents remembrance, gratitude, and the promise to never forget.
❤️ Volunteer
Families, friends, and community groups are welcome to participate in the wreath laying on December 13th. Registration is simple, and volunteers are guided throughout the event.

A Beautiful Tradition to Share With Our Families
In a season filled with celebration, Wreaths Across America offers a moment of grounding — a reminder of the bravery, sacrifice, and service that shape the freedoms we enjoy. It’s also a powerful way to teach our children the importance of honoring those who served before us.
We hope you’ll join in, whether through sponsoring a wreath, volunteering, or simply taking a moment this December to remember our heroes.
